Activity Week update

We would like to thank everyone for their efforts to make our Activity week so successful. we have issued more Certificates than ever on our November 2022 Event, so well done everyone who took part.

CW Boot Camp 22nd October 2022

Updating Memberships

I have had a number of people who are already members filling in our new application form and sending it through, from this i have not only been able to inform them of their current membership number but also update their information adding Town and Country to their online profile.

If you would like to add this information please let me know by either email of by filling in the online application form again with your current details.

1st period 7MHz 19.00-19.29 UTC
2nd period 3.5MHz 19.30-19.59 UTC

Band: 7010-7040 KHz and 3510-3560 KHz
Mode: CW only
Categories: Single op (single TX)
Exchange: 599 + membership number for HACWG members, 599 + NM to all other participants
Call for contest: CQ NS
Multiplier: no multipliers
Score: Each valid contact counts 1 point. The final score is the total number of valid contacts.

QSY (Sprint) Rule: If a station makes a QSO after a CQ or QRZ he/she have to QSY at least
1KHz from that frequency to continue the competition.

Awards: downloadable electronic awards will be available

2022 Essex CW Bootcamp

We are pleased to confirm the next Essex CW Bootcamp will take place on Saturday 22nd October 2022. It will be held at 3rd Witham Scout & Guide HQ Rear of Spring Lodge Community Centre Powers Hall End Witham Essex CM8 2HE.

There are limited places so if you are interested in coming along please email us to confirm your interest  info@essexcw.org.uk  and we can add you to our mailing list, once the booking forms have gone out places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

New Website – updates

As you can see the new website is fully up and running, we have plenty of plans for it over the coming months and hope to attract alot more Members to help them improve their on air CW.

One thing that will help us is making this website alot more interactive with members to this end i would like to appeal to members to update their information if this is incorrect and also to pass on their email addresses so that we can keep you updated with upcoming events. you can either email info@essexcw.org.uk or fill in the membership application page but please if you are a current member indicate so by putting your membership number in the comment box. We will not share your emails with anyone else and we will only use it to advise you of changes or upcoming events such as our recent Activity week.
