Contests

Essex CW both participates in CW contests and encourages others to do so, thus increasing the amount of CW on the bands. Although not a contest group specifically, ECWARC recognises that contesting can help to hone an operator’s technique and usually improves CW speed.

Typically, there is opportunity for UK ECWARC members to participate in monthly RSGB Club Championship CW events and annual 80m AFS CW events as part of ECWARC teams. Please also contact us if you would like to assist in any ECWARC contest efforts when we use the club callsigns (e.g. HF National Field Day or CQWW / CQ WPX etc).
